What We Have Been Up-To Recently

June

Ryan's brother Devin married Tori and they had a beautiful backyard wedding that Jill helped plan and setup.

Jayna and her cousin Brynn spent the whole evening running free and eating as many strawberries as they possibly could.

Strawberry stains on her cream wedding shirt! How could you be mad at that face though. Jill sewed their skirts and made their headbands.

Maga and Pocky (Ryan's parents) looked so cute and festive.
It was a great day with family and friends.

Jill meet her favorite christian author and speaker this month and he even mailed her a copy of one of his books. Jill was over the moon about the chance meeting and signed book.

Waterpark season officially began. Jill and Jayna have season passes and go about every other day
to Cowabunga Bay.

Jill took Jayna to the dinosaur museum.

Jayna loved it.

She got to do lots of playing.

After the museum Jayna and Jill got some ice-cream at an old-fashion ice-cream shop.

One Saturday the whole family went up to Olympic Park in Park City to check it out, go through the museum, and get tickets to ride the bobsled when Jills parents come out at the end of July.

Jayna and Jill got to babysit this cute little girl one afternoon. She has the cutest frown in the whole world.

Jayna got a new camping chair in preparation for our family camping trip.

Jill dehydrated pineapple to snack on up in the mountains

Jayna got a hold of moms phone it looks like.

Jill had to get some crafts in for camping.

While Ryan was out of town the girls were getting everything ready for camping which included getting the old truck fixed up. They broke down three times in one day, but made the best out of it even though it meant being stranded at an auto shop all day.

The truck all packed up for camping.

Jill and Jayna found a camp spot and set everything up while dad was still at work.

Jill made gourmet mac and cheese over the fire for Jayna to have for lunch.

Jayna loved playing at the Lake every afternoon.

Jill loved lounging at the lake.

The girls in the tent.

Ryan trying to fix the barbie fishing pole for Jayna

Jayna loves camping.

Ryan roasting the corn for dinner.

 Silly camping family.

Hot dogs with Jdawg sauce of course.

Jayna leading us in camp song around the fire.

Jill made a cool glow in the dark lantern for Jayna to have at night.

Breakfast Burritos.

 Hanging out at camp.

Playing camp catch.

Jill made the catchers from milk jugs.

A raccoon got our trail mix one night, but Ryan wrestled it back from him.

We hiked Mt. Timp to go to the caves. It was a big hike and Jayna did great.

 Fun at the Lake.

Little mud monster.

Dirty camping face.

Swinging with cousin Brynn in the yoga swings.

Swinging with cousin Brynn in the yoga swings.

Softball game in Park City.

Jill helped a friend do the flowers for her daughters wedding.

They turned out great.

Summer Braids

Jayna got to go on the Sky Jumper at the water park

We got devastating news from our neighbors that the tree out front has to be taken down. We are so sad and will miss the shade, but know it is for the best.

Jill made a bike car wash for Jayna to play with her friends in on hot days.

Jayna loved it and so do others because it will be featured on a big blog in July that has requested for Jill to do a write up for them about it.

Jayna swinging on the tree. We will miss it.

Jill and Jayna ordered and raised caterpillars into butterflies this month and then Jayna released them outside.
Jayna was so excited to hold one.

Ryan got off work early one day and we took Jayna to see the new movie Brave. She brought her money so that she could play a game before the move started.

Ryans parents came out again for a family funeral and while they were here we all went and played at a local family fun center.

We had a little cat visitor one night.

May

We were officially approved through our agency and live on their website. We were so excited that we ran out and celebrated with some yummy ice-cream.

Jayna helping load groceries at Winco

Jill and Jayna went shopping at a thrift store for some things for a party and Jayna picked out these overalls for herself.
Ryan and Jill got to attend a Jazz game in a box suite. It was lots of fun with great company.

Ryan watching the game. It was so loud!

Jayna helping Jill decorate and setup for a church garden party.

We got out all the outdoor furniture for the Summer.

Jill and Jayna taking a photo break from their hard work.

The spread Jill setup at the garden party. Everyone loved it.

Garden craft table

All the ladies really enjoyed themselves and we had an amazing guest speaker talk about gardening and plants that do well in our area.

 Smores for dessert of course.

Jayna saying good bye to her Dad after going to lunch with him during a work day.

Jayna playing with neighborhood friends

Ryan and Jayna found a brand new child's baseball glove at a yard sale. So now they can practice catch together.

Mom and Daughter on Mothers day

Jill and Ryan relaxing by the fire pit for Mothers day dessert.

Jill's beloved Peonies finally bloomed

These Peonies are from her Grandmothers garden. She transferred them after her passing this last year and they are originally from her Great Grandmothers garden.

We had our favorite missionary over for a BBQ dinner before he went home from his mission. They used to live with us so we are pretty fond of them.

We devastatingly and sadly had to put the furry member of our family Red to rest. It was sudden and unexpected and she is missed dearly. There is a missing spot in our family after having her around everyday for almost 10 years.

Jayna went to the neatest birthday party about animals. This was the costume she got from the party with interchangeable "animal power"symbols. In this picture she is a bat.

Jayna and Jill caught an injured yellow finch and put him in a decorative bird cage with some water. They nursed him back to health for a day and then released him.

Jayna and Jill took a tour of the conservatory garden near our house with some friends.

Jill and Jayna thought it would be fun to buy a bag of ladybugs to release in the backyard for family home evening. There were ladybugs everywhere it was pretty cool.

Softball season in Park City started. Jayna has found her friend for the season and the fun has begun.

Jayna graduated from her Joy School Preschool with a cute little ceremony at one of the kids houses.

 How cute are those hats?

Jill made skirts for Jayna, herself, our niece and her sister-in-law to wear to Devin and Tori's (Ryan's brother) wedding.
Here is Jill trying hers on.

Jill also embelished these sweaters for them to wear.

Jayna has been having a blast at Friday play group

All the little girls fight over pushing this cute little guy in the swing. Little Elsie in the yellow dress's family is adopting as-well.

Jill had a blast at Tori's bachelorette party in Spanish Fork

For Memorial day we took Jayna to a pancake breakfast since that is her favorite meal.

Ryan's bike snapped in half while he was on a bike ride with Jayna. Guess he needs a new bike. Jill thinks they should all get cruisers.

Jayna playing at the park in Park City at the softball game.

They had a big Luau organized by Ryan's department.
It was so good!

Ryan in his Luau grilling outfit.

Maile serving Julian the inaugural beergarita to kickoff the official start of the softball season.

Jayna is an Ikea professional shopper. We go all the time.

 Fun preschool Easter egg hunt

Jayna getting her hair cut

New wall treatment project for the basement. That is all tape!

Ryan's Brother Devin painting away. We had a big paint party in the basement.
Jill carefully peeling off the tape. That was the funniest part. Like our Frog Tape shirts? They sponsor my other blog so we get free stuff from them.

The massive tape ball. The missionaries moved out of the basement which was sad, but we could not be more excited about these two moving in. In-fact we are so excited for them to get married and move in that we are renovating the whole basement for them to make sure it is the perfect first home for them.

Again goofing off with the massive tape ball.

Jayna playing with her best bud Carter.

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit for Easter. They brought Jayna a "poky cactus" from Arizona.

Pictures in the Easter dress Jayna's other Grandma sent her.

Going on our traditional Easter bunny treasure hunt that the Easter bunny leaves at our house every year.

Eating away at the chocolate bunny the Easter bunny left.

Going to ice-cream with Grandma and Grandpa.

Okay, maybe Jill picked out too many pillows at the circle store (aka: Target)

Riding a ride at the mall.

We found a great little mexican restaurant while out trying to find a traditional mexican dress for Jayna for Cinco De Mayo.

Someone in our house was not throwing their gum from Easter away properly and Jill found all of it smashed in-between the Ensign and her parenting book.

We had a family over for Sunday dinner that had a baby so we busted out Jayna's old high-chair. Then she wanted to sit in it around the house for days afterwards.

We had Preschool at our house again.

Ryan sadly got pneumonia. We kept him quarantined from us, but after a couple days of no hugs and not being able to sit close to him we covered him in a clean blanket and hugging him a million times.

Swinging in our indoor fabric swings. A daily occurrence at our house.

 Pictures before church.

Jill and Jayna were having a rough day so they decided to give each other full manicures and pedicures while they watched a movie to try and turn the day around.

Preschool video Jill put together for the kids and moms.

Jill made capes for Ryan and his coworkers to wear while Pond-Skimming
(other wise known as crazy people dressed-up weird skiing and boarding over a freezing cold pond)

We went up to the Canyons as a family for the Pond-Skimming event

Jayna had fun riding on the lifts, sledding, and wearing her cape Jill made for her

Here is Ryan, Jayna, and Colby in their costumes

The guys after taking a dip in the freezing water. Ryan did a front flip on his board into the pond.

*you may want to turn the music player at the bottom of the blog off to watch this*

Jill and Jayna played with her hair one day
This was the awesome result the next morning

 Curly hair love

Jayna got a new big girl bike. It has unicorns on it so we now refer to her as the "mystical creature" while she is on her bike.

February

Jayna made fruit loop necklaces with Mom at home.

Ryan surprised Jayna and Jill with a 3 day trip to Disneyland for their birthdays.
He even bought them disney shirts to where for the trip.

We got to eat all the yummy treats we wanted while we were there. It was the best trip ever!

We celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary and 13th year being together.

The girls got lots of flowers and goodies from Dad for Valentines Day.

Jayna and Jill made fun festive pancakes.
